Australian Institute of Health & Welfare (AIHW) reports that Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) receive 353 requests for help they cannot meet. Almost four in five unmet requests come from women and children, many fleeing domestic and family violence. Unassisted requests have surged 18% in just one year.
