Georges River Council Uncontained Arts Festival 2026

The Festival will feature drop-in creative activities, roving performers, live mural painting, and street eats. This year’s program focuses on reuse and sustainability, as well as play and interaction, and the natural environment, and encourages people to experience art in fun, meaningful, and unexpected ways.

NSW Ombudsman Services

NSW Ombudsman’s role in overseeing NSW Government agencies and funded services includes handling complaints; monitoring and assessing Aboriginal programs; Public Interest Disclosures Scheme; mandatory disease testing; community services monitoring, reviews and inquiries; reviewing all child deaths in NSW; monitoring segregation of detainees in youth detention; and providing regular reports to NSW Parliament.

Sleeping Rough Fundraising Event (Riverwood)

Georges River Lifecare (GRL) event invites participants to spend one night sleeping rough in a Riverwood car park to raise awareness, empathy, and vital funds for vulnerable families in the local community. There is an option to sign up for a Family Zone, which does not involve sleeping out overnight (6.30pm-8pm).

UTS Shopfront Community Coursework Program

Community organisations are invited to propose real-world projects that students can work on in partnership with the organisations. Projects will take place over 12 weeks, August to October. Project proposal submissions close Friday, 12 June, 5pm.

Expression of Interest (EOI): Census 2026 Community Field Officers Recruitment

Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has opened applications for Community Field Officers for the Census 2026. Community Field Officers support people from all cultures and communities to complete their Census form. They provide information about the Census and help people in-person to complete their form. Closes Monday, 3 August.
