Voucher support is available for families with children under 18 years, who are in financial hardship and are not already a Prosper or Strong Safe Families client. A limited supply of vouchers is available. Applications close Tuesday, 10 November or once supply is exhausted. Vouchers will be sent by email to the client by Monday, 30 November.

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) clinics offer all the recommended free vaccines due for babies and children from 6 weeks to 4 years, and will help families finding it difficult to make an appointment with a bulk-billing GP. They also offer catch-up vaccinations for any children who have missed their previous doses. No Medicare required. Bookings recommended.

Children’s Week is a national event held every year to promote awareness of children’s rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The 2026 Children’s Week theme is based on UNCRC Article 30: “Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion”.

The Sharing is Caring initiative encourages people to consider foster care. Life Without Barriers is seeking carers for emergency, short-term, long-term or respite care, particularly for sibling groups and children with complex needs. Carers receive training, financial assistance and ongoing support to help children heal and thrive.

Deakin University and partners are offering eligible couples access to OurRelationship, an online relationship support program designed to help improve communication, strengthen trust, and reconnect. The 6-8 week program includes flexible access and support from a coach, as part of an Australian government-funded trial.
