The multicultural community is invited to donate items to Hurstville Museum & Gallery (HMG) to become part of their collection. (HMG) are currently updating their local history section to better reflect the diverse community in the Georges River area. They would like to display items that reflect the history, culture, and identity of migrant and multicultural Communities in the St George region.

Diabetes Education in Pregnancy: Workshop for Women from Multicultural Backgrounds

Diabetes Australia can organise workshops for women of childbearing age from multicultural backgrounds, who have a current or previous diagnosis of gestational diabetes or are at risk of gestational diabetes. Available in community languages including Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Indonesian, Korean, Mandarin, Mongolian, Nepali, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Rohingya, Urdu, and Thai. For residents of LGAs including Bayside, Georges River, and Sutherland Shire.

Parenting Sessions for Multicultural Families (Rockdale)

Bayside Council, Rockdale Children & Families Hub and partners parent sessions will cover sleep and settling, starting family foods, play and learning, parent wellbeing, and fussy eating. A light morning tea will be provided for networking and connecting with local services. Ideally, the target group is parents / carers living in the Rockdale, Arncliffe, Banksia, Wolli Creek, Turella, and Brighton-Le-Sands areas. Residents, Visa holders, and international students welcome. Participants can book to attend all sessions or just the sessions they want.

Sutherland Shire Council Swim Safe Communities Program

A swimming safety program targeted at major at-risk demographics, including people from low socioeconomic groups, multicultural communities, First Nations people, and young people 12-17 years old who have never participated in formal learn to swim programs. Qualified staff will provide essential water and beach safety skills, boosting confidence in pools, natural waterways, and beaches.

Mental Health for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) People: Resources for Carers
