headspace Miranda has a new free* doctor for young people 12-25. Services include physical health checks, sexual health education and assessments, contraceptive education, pregnancy testing, drug and alcohol assessment, mental health assessments / treatment plans, medication prescribing, and more.
*For No Gap Billing, young people will require Medicare card details.

TAFE NSW Alternative Pathway Courses for Years 10+ (Gymea)

TAFE NSW Gymea offers alternatives to school-based study for students wishing to start studies for Years 10+. Classes start in February, with information sessions in November and December:
Year 10 Study Pathway: for students 15 years and over looking for an alternative pathway to further education, training, and qualifications.
Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation: Year 12 style delivery, with an emphasis on skills-based learning as well as discipline-specific content.

Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant 2024/2025

NSW Department of Education’s Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant 2024/2025 invites NSW public service agencies and NSW local government authorities to apply for grants from $10,000 to $40,000, to subsidise the salary, development and support costs of Aboriginal employees. Includes temporary and permanent employment and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.
Applications close 30 June 2025.
