New Dates: Free Immunisation Clinics for Aboriginal Children up to 5 (Menai)

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is running free Immunisation Clinics to provide routine childhood immunisations for Aboriginal children. All bubs and kids from 6 weeks to 5 years are welcome to attend the clinic for their vaccinations, even if they are overdue. Medicare not required. Bookings recommended, walk-ins welcome.

Changes to Enrolment Policy for NSW Public Schools

The rules for enrolling a child at a NSW public school are changing. Commencing Term 1 next year:
– A student with a temporary resident visa can enrol at their local school.
– If places are available, a school can prioritise non-local enrolments for siblings of current students and consider non-local children of school staff.
Parents can submit or resubmit an enrolment application to their preferred school.

Interrelate Term 1 2025 Programs to Support Children & Families (Caringbah & Online)

– Building Connections (self-paced or via Zoom): to support separated parents practice positive ways of parenting.
– Circle of Security (in person or via Zoom): to support and strengthen secure parent-child relationships, for parents with children 0-6, but may also help with older children.
Kids Building Bridges (in person): designed to focus on children’s resilience and provide strategies to assit through family separation.
– Parents not Partners (via Zoom: commencing Thursday, 13 February or commencing Tuesday, 18 February): to engage separated parents in entrenched conflict in a process of reflection and awareness-raising, to focus on the best interest of their children.
Understanding the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Process (via Zoom): workshop for separated parents and other family members who intend to participate in FDR to resolve disputes.
Seasons for Growth (in person): for children 6-12 who have experience grief and loss.
